Ok the pros and cons. Con: - The unit is about 18 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter (guessing) and is fairly heavy. So, under the sink installation is a bit tight. However, I will say that I was able to put it under the sink area with my slide out garbage and a disposal - so it's not THAT bad. Just need to keep that in mind. - Instructions are minimal and it would actually be nice if they identified the "In" vs. "Out" flow on the unit itself, not just the instruction sheet. Pros: - First, let me say that Cuzn's customer service is excellent and responsive. - First unit I ordered came with an obvious defect in the brass connector. Aside from the defect, I was able to get this unit connected and working with no leakage (which was my concern). - Between seeing the defect and connecting this unit, I did email Cuzn's support. They responded quickly asking for images of the damage. I sent the images. I informed them of having gotten the unit connected successfully and they still sent out a replacement, which I appreciated very much. OK - Onto the product - I own a coffee roasting business, so I am brewing and testing coffee on a regular basis. When I ran water through my $1000 coffee brewer, It left white residue anywhere it dried, the water was horrible. Installation of CuZn has resulted in a significant reduction (almost completely) of this. It is almost as if the water is being softened as well. - Taste etc: The water taste like water...like NOTHING...the way it should. In fact, if I put my tap water up against this water, you can smell, see, and feel the difference. There is a huge difference in the feel of the water if you take a sip and swish it around in your mouth. Last, there is a massive difference in the chlorinated smell and overall taste. . My water is heavily chlorinated, but like I said - totally different smell between my regular tap and the water coming through the CuZn. You can also see a difference too. Although it's harder to recognize this, it just looks a bit more crystal clear than the regular glass of tap water. - Setup: Easy peasy. I hate plumbing and dealing with it, so even though I hate that...I have to say that the setup was pretty painless. Final: Clearly this gets my thumbs-up. In fact, I liked the results it had with my coffee flavor and coffee maker so much, I got a second unit and installed it in my kitchen and put a "drinking water" faucet on my sink, and installed a "T" to go to my ice maker. My ice cubes are significantly clearer and I have tossed my brita jug away and sold the filters on craigslist. Perhaps some day they'll make a 55 gallon drum version that I can install in-line from my main.

Recently I was on a crusade to avoid the excessive use of plastics (BPA free containers, plastic cups etc) I was also looking to ensure that my city water is free from all the additional chemicals via leaching and treatment. I ended up doing some reading to move away from Brita and other similar products. The ideal filter for me would- 1. Eliminate the additives to water that Brita simply could not 2. Improve the taste of water 3. Be easy to use 4. Have a longer life cycle and did not need replacing of parts regularly 5. Not impact water flow rate/pressure 6. Have filter media that did not contribute to the waters taste/be a breeding ground for microbes 7. Be cheap in the long run for per litre of water After reading about the different options CuZn seemed to tick all the boxes. Placed the order and one weekend during an afternoon, I installed it with a wrench and some plumbing tape. It was not hard to install. After a couple days of using it the water reached its promised quality in taste. I held off reviewing to ensure it continued to perform... and it has. A few weeks in the water still tastes goos. I ordered a few glass bottles and now between the bottles and the water I think I have met all my goals with this lil adventure. (Pictures show the water in bottles now Vs the initial pour where there was some residue as the water came though the media which was expected)

Good for pre fridge filter
Bought two of these. One for our house and one for our Grandma's. We got a new fridge and i priced the replacement filters for the water and ice, 50 bucks here on amazon. So in order to save from having to buy filters every few months i hooked our cuzn to the fridge water line. You need an adapter to step the filter outlet port down to your type of fitting for the fridge water line. I found the adapter at lowes. If you are not familar with plumbing, bring the filter with you to a plumbing store and tell them what your trying to do. My filter is under the sink and i have a 1/4 10 foot braided stainless steal line running to the fridge water hook up. The filter hasnt hurt volume or pressure as my water and icemaker functions work perfectly. I plumbed our grandmothers straight to the kitchen faucet itself because she always drinks from the faucet.(using a cup, she is house broken) couldnt really see a loss of pressure but her kitchen faucet pressure hasnt always been the greatest even after i installed a new faucet for her months ago. All in all, this filter is pretty big and solid. Feels well made. Have had for 3 months now and no problems. Good luck.

Excellent product and legendary Customer Service!
This is a great filter. It replaced another brand I used before. My cold tap water now tastes great; which is to say no taste at all, including no chlorine taste or odor. This CuZn UC-200 was simple to install, even for this 67-yr young woman. I initially had a problem with the water stream coming out too slowly, so I called customer service. That call was promptly answered by a human, not a recording with a menu of options. The man, Chris, I spoke with is smart, kind, efficient, and speaks very clearly. After talking with him, I was told that perhaps my unit was defective, so a free replacement was sent, along with a mailing label to return the first one. I was also given a 50% discount for my trouble. As I drained the water from the original UC-200, I noticed little clumps of sediment coming out. I emailed a photo of the clumps to Chris who replied that it may indicate deteriorating water lines in either my home or the municipal lines. He sent me, free of charge, an extra “pre-filter” to remove sediment from the water before it reached the UC-200. I hooked up both new filters and now I have a perfect flow of good, clean water! The best customer service I have EVER received in all my years! Just amazing. This seller will stand by you until you are completely satisfied, even if a problem is not because of them or their product.

Fresher, cleaner tasting water in 5 minutes..
I have been thinking about installing a water filter for a while but mixed reviews and required frequent replacements made me hesitant. This filter seemed too good to be true, long life, solid reviews and an excellent price. It came on 2/13, well packed. I was surprised how heavy and solid the filter felt. It fit perfectly in the back of the sink cabinet. It came with a high quality fitting. It was extremely easy to installed. Now here's what I would recommend to the seller. Although a installation video is available include a 1 page instruction sheet in the box. Also label the input and output fittings. Although the video recommends running the water for 30 seconds to 1 minute to clear the filter it took much longer before the water came out crystal clear. So I would recommend a minimum of 5 minutes. Finally the acid test. This morning while my wife was out of the room, I filled two small glasses with water. One from an unfiltered sink and the other from the sink with the new CuZn filter. When she returned I asked her to try both samples and tell me what she thought. She quickly picked the filtered water noting it tasted much fresher than the water from the unfiltered sink. Well there you have it a real world taste test. It works . Buy it!

We received our CuZn UC-200 water filter today and had it installed in about five minutes. The only tool needed was a crescent wrench. The unit is a little larger than expected but nicely stands vertical under the sink. I am hopeful that in five years I can be back on here writing a five start follow up review.

Great tasting water and outstanding customer service!
I highly recommend water filter. It makes our water taste great, removes the chemical taste and smell usually associated with municipal water sources. We also bought 10 reusable water bottles so as to reduce our plastic waste. The CuZn customer service is exemplary as well. If you need different hoses or fittings to do the installation, just contact the company and they will send you the hoses and/or fittings at no extra charge. I did not have the correct hoses as I had non-standard plumbing under the sink, so I had to go to the local hardware store and get $10 worth of fittings and a hose to get the filter installed. I contacted customer service afterward to see if they had hoses the correct size to work with my set-up. They did not but offered to custom make a filter for me with different fittings at (no extra cost) so I could hook it up more directly. I thanked them and said that wouldn't be necessary as I had found fittings to adapt to what I had. They issued me a $12 refund to cover the cost of what I had spent at the hardware store.

I originally purchased a UC-200 IN 2011, This filter has performed flawlessly for 5 years. water tasted great, no leaks, no canister bursting... i did my research the first time the reason this unit stands out from cheap home depot type stores is you replace the entire unit and feed hose, So no chance of contamination in the filter housing when installing only replacement elements . I highly recommend this product

Best under sink solution
OK, this is absolutely a great product to clean up your water. We are on city water and as most people are aware, there are a lot of bad elements in the water. I had to do something to purify our drinking water to the best of my ability. I did a lot of research and the best solution I could find was CuZn. I chained 2 of their systems to my existing filtration units. The first one uses the UC-200 casing but is filled with bone char ony….it removes Fluoride, and the second is the CuZn UC-200 which removes too much to list. The bone char was custom made so I had to call them directly. I spoke with (Customer Support) Chris Wright @ CuZn …800.345.7873. He was extremely helpful working with me to determine the best solution. My system is not a whole house system but is dedicated to our kitchen sink and refrigerator. I liked it so much I bought one for my Daughter as well. Hers took me 5 minutes to hook up directly under their sink. I will definitely be purchasing more from them as needed. No doubt in my opinion, the CuZn UC-200 is the best for an under sink filtration solution. See picture…. My configuration is in my basement… connected to my kitchen sink.

We have a single handle kitchen faucet and wanted to filter hot water as well as cold so I bought 2 uc-200s. Cold install went perfectly, but the side sprayer somehow vapor locked the hot until I used the sprayer. Unfortunately for me I didn't think to try using the sprayer until I had swapped hot and cold filters, fighting shutoff valves that didn't always shut and spending more time than I would like with my head under the sink. I e-mailed CuZn support suggesting that their already good instructions could be improved by including a diagnostic tip that low flow may be relieved by using the sprayer. In this age of lousy support I did this to vent. I didn't expect a response. Imagine my surprise when I checked my e-mail the very next evening and found a reply that included their updated instructions incorporating my suggestion, a nice personal message, and a small goodwill refund. CuZn are a class act. I am all the more impressed because the uc-200 is class leading value, once properly installed had almost no impact on water flow, and our water tastes great. I have never before wished I could give more than 5 stars, but I'd give this purchase 10 stars if I could.
